異常気象や干ばつ、災害、インフラの故障がこれまで以上に起こり易なっている現代で、自分たちで『水』を確保する方法を知っておくことは、暮らしを守るためにとても大切です。また破壊的な脅威をもたらしている『水』を深く理解し、それらを脅威として捉えるのではなく、生きる上で不可欠な資源であり恩恵として。配慮をもって向き合っていくことがこれからますます重要になります。

このワークショップでは、「大地旅人（Earth Passengers）」が20年以上にわたり、都市や農村の様々な拠点で実践してきた経験をもとに、自宅やコミュニティのための「災害に強い水システム」をどのように設計・構築・管理するかを学びます。講師には「大地旅人（Earth Passengers）」共同設立者のピーター・モアヘッドさんを台湾からお招きします。

土地の中で水がどのように流れ、たまり、しみこみ、循環しているのかを観察する視点を学びながら、災害時にも機能し続ける柔軟な水システムの設計の考え方を身につけていきます。日々の暮らしに必要な水、食料生産を支える水、そして緊急時に命を守るための水。地球の水循環を支えながら、水の恩恵を暮らしの中で活かすための実践的な知恵と仕組みづくりを習得します。

【この講座で学ぶこと】

雨水の収穫と貯留： 家庭やコミュニティで使える実践的なシステム。
緊急時の水確保と浄化： 災害時に使えるシンプルでローテクな水処理方法。
ランドスケープの中の水： 水を減速させ（Slow）、拡散させ（Spread）、浸透させる（Sink）地形デザインの方法。
「水のバッテリー」としての土壌： 灌漑の必要性を減らし、食料生産を安定させるための土壌活用法。
災害時の排水処理： 実践的なグレーウォーター（生活排水）やブラックウォーター（汚水）の処理と、処理水を食料生産へ安全に再利用する方法。
このワークショップは、あなたの家、土地、そしてコミュニティを守るための水システムを構築する手助けとなるでしょう。

【講師紹介】ピーター・モアヘッド (Peter Morehead)

台湾初の認定パーマカルチャー講師。デザイナー、教育者であり、「大地旅人（Earth Passengers）」の共同設立者。台湾をはじめ、アジアや世界各地のプロジェクトにおいて26年以上にわたるパーマカルチャーの実践・指導・コンサルティング経験を持つ。

What would you do if you turned on the tap and no water came out?

In today’s world—where extreme weather, droughts, disasters, and infrastructure failures are becoming more frequent—knowing how to secure your own water is essential for protecting everyday life. Just as importantly, we are invited to understand water not only as a potential threat, but as an essential resource and life-giving gift.

In this workshop, drawing on more than 20 years of hands-on experience by Earth Passengers, you will learn how to design, build, and manage resilient water systems for homes and communities. Peter Morehead, co-founder of Earth Passengers, will join us from Taiwan.

Through observing how water flows, collects, and cycles through the land, participants will gain practical skills to create flexible water systems that support daily life, food production, and emergency preparedness.

Emergency water access & purification: Simple, low-tech water treatment during disasters.
Water in landscapes: How to design landforms that slow, spread, and sink water.
Soil as a water battery: Using soil to reduce irrigation needs and stabilize food systems.
Wastewater in disasters: Hands-on greywater/blackwater processing and safe reuse of treated water for food production.
